Palestinian Walks, by Raja Shehadeh
The Orwell Prize is delighted to be hosting an event at the Edinburgh International Book Festival with Raja Shehadeh, winner of the Orwell Book Prize 2008. We are also extremely pleased to be able to publish an exclusive seventh walk from Palestinian Walks, where Raja and a Scottish journalist are accosted by Palestinian youths.
At Edinburgh, Raja will be in conversation with his publisher, Profile's Andrew Franklin. The event will take place at 7pm on Thursday, 21st August 2008 in the ScottishPower Studio Theatre. Tickets can be booked via the Festival's website from 20th June, and further details yet to be confirmed will appear here.
