The receipt for the first month's rent for M. Simont's villa, at 550 francs. M. Simont's villa was 'route de casa' - that is, on the road to Casablanca, arround 5km from Marrakech. Peter Davison records that during the six months of the rental, 550 francs was around £3.25.
